McKenzie Daniel, Intern

My name is McKenzie and I am a graduate student at the University of Alabama pursuing my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. I also earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Biblical Studies from Samford University. I enjoy partnering with individuals, couples, and families navigating the waves of life. I am passionate about supporting people through difficult spaces and moving towards your goals, specifically by exploring the brain’s impact on behavior in times of stress. To pursue holistic health, I value incorporating a faith-based perspective into our conversations. I hope that our time together is a safe place of respite as you pursue connection with others, understanding in the midst of pain, and meaning within yourself.

Amy Nyland, Intern

Hi there! If you’re reading my bio, thank you for taking the time! I’m excited to introduce myself. My name is Amy Nyland and I am a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Jacksonville State University. I received my bachelor’s degree in Communication in the early 2000’s, and after nearly 20 years of working in administration and management, I decided to take a leap of faith and pursue what really makes me come alive. Personally, I’ve been on a journey of healing and self-growth for more than 15 years and know the profound and positive impact it’s made in my life. Ultimately, my personal growth journey sparked a deep and sincere desire to help others navigate their own unique journeys. I am committed to creating safe and inviting space where you feel seen, heard, valued and supported as we collaborate on doing important healing and expansion work together. We all have the capacity to create truly fulfilling lives where we live authentically and in alignment with our inner values and purpose, and I would love to be the person who walks alongside you as you do this very critical work. I say critical, because I truly believe in these uncertain times, it is our individual healing that will lead to our collective healing. And, I can’t think of anything more important or noble than helping to create a kinder, gentler, and healthier functioning world. If you made it this far, thanks again for taking the time to read a little about me. Wishing you a truly wonderful day!
